The physical and chemical properties of activated carbon were summaried in this paper. The research and application of activated carbon technology in advanced water treatment in recent years including activated carbon adsorption technology,biological activated carbon technology,supported activated carbon catalytic technology and the process of activated carbon assisted with some materials and some other water treatment processes were reviewed. Some problems of activated carbon treatment technology were discussed and the application prospect was forcasted.%概述了活性发理化特性;综述了近年来活性炭技术在饮用水深度处理方面的研究和应用成果,主要包括:活性炭吸附技术,生物活性发技术,负载型活性炭催化技术以及活性炭与其它工艺或材料相结合的水处理技术;讨论了活性发水处理技术存在的一些问题,并对其应用前景进行了展望.
